Winter Turns to Spring....but never for me
I have a new assistant YC.
We chatted, and found out coincidentally we worked in the same firm before. We chatted well into our education, religion, and current situation.
He asked what I think every helper got curious about.... "Do you have a boyfriend?"
"Nope.."
"Why not?...."
I joked....."Cause I am not good enough... I am sick. I have eczema. I know where I stand."
"No, I am sure there will be someone out there who appreciates you for what you are inside."
"Well.......... really.... its more like.... I had a broken relationship... that is the story. Its all bullshit to me... all that I love you, you love me stuff. I only believe my parents love me and I love my brother. That's about it."
He nodded in agreement.
I queried back "you? Girlfriend?"
"Nope, all alone I have been alone."
We even chatted about family. I told him about my problematic brother and his girlfriend. He told me about his brother and sister-in-law.
He said "my sister in law is "chao hao de nu hai zi". She older than my brother, never mind leh, she waited for my brother. Yet when my brother was not doing well financially, she never complained and even helped him with his fees and shared the expenses when they date. She never expected too much of my brother and they have been together for 7 years before they got married. She is very patient and helped my family be better interpersonally. My brother loves her alot and I respect her alot."
I got stunned.
Then I said "I am glad we had this conversation." Because this reminds me, and confirms that:
Some people wait for spring, and they got spring. Their willing sacrifices were highly-valued. People around them know how to appreciate them for all they have done. Why is it they do?
Yiting got Benedict the same 8 years. Cause these guys never change.
But it is never me. My winter will never turn into spring. All I had done is valueless.
I will keep chanting.
